UNIT VIII. Preparing to Perform

MAIN OBJECTIVES:
1) Review and practice skills from previous lessons.
2) Prepare The Amazing Imagination Machine (with “The Story of the Three Little Pigs”) for a final performance. 
3) If necessary, rehearse the Paper Bag scenes chosen for the final performance.

1. WARM-UPS

 

Lead one physical and one vocal warm-up activity.

2. SKILL BUILDING

 

Rehearse the final performance
Rehearse the second part of the final performance: “The Story of the Three Little Pigs.” Then rehearse all parts of the show together, including any paper bag scenes that may have been chosen for the final performance.

Encourage the students to use everything they have learned thus far as they prepare.

Treat this class as a dress rehearsal for the final performance. Practice transitions from one piece to the other, as well as how the students will get on stage and off quickly and quietly.

3. CLOSING ACTIVITY

 

If time permits, play any game the students request.
