UNIT VIII. Preparing to Perform

Putting it all together

MAIN OBJECTIVES:
1) Review and practice skills from previous lessons.
2) Begin preparing The Amazing Imagination Machine for the final performance.

1. WARM-UPS

2. SKILL BUILDING

The last two lessons of this sixteen week curriculum are devoted to preparing the students for a final performance entitled The Amazing Imagination Machine. The performance consists of two parts: 1) demonstrating the Imagination Machine itself, and 2) performing “The Three Little Pigs,” the story created by the Imagination Machine. (If necessary, Paper Bag scenes can be added as a third section of the show to extend its length and to give speaking parts to more students. )

Prior to the class:
1) Read the scripts and watch the video for The Amazing Imagination Machine and The Three Little Pigs.
